What can students pursuing a degree in Sport Management anticipate?

The Sport Management major offers a rigorous curriculum designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic global sport industry. The program emphasizes business, leadership, and organizational competencies, preparing students to become effective and ethical sports business professionals.

Students begin with APSM 2310 – Introduction to Sport Management, the required introductory course for those applying to the major. Through a combination of academic coursework and hands-on experiential learning, students gain valuable real-world experience that equips them for a wide range of career paths, including:

• Sport consulting, advisory, and strategy
• Professional team sport organization management & administration

Beyond the classroom, students have access to sport-specific global immersion experiences and study, active participation in the vibrant, student-led Sport Business Society, and engagement with industry leaders through events such as the Global Sport Business Summit and Guest Speaker Series.
