Animals

In accordance with Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Policy 1.17, only service animals and animals featured in programs sponsored by Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries are allowed in the Libraries. 

Building Access

  • Fondren Library and Underwood Law Library have shortened guest access hours. You must show your Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID to enter or stay in the building after hours.
  • Bridwell Library and Hamon Arts Library are open to everyone.
  • Duda Family Business Library is closed to the general public. Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ-affiliated patrons or Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ alumni with valid library cards are welcome to use the library.
  • DeGolyer Library is open by appointment only.

Electric Scooters

In accordance with Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Policy 9.14, electric scooters and personal mobility devices (such as skateboards, e-bikes, hoverboards, and any other similar device) are not allowed in Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ-owned, leased, rented, or occupied buildings. 

Food & Drink

All libraries allow drinks with a lid, except DeGolyer Library and other special collections areas. Food is allowed in Fondren Library, Hamon Arts Library, Underwood Law Library, and Duda Family Business Library. Food is not allowed in Bridwell Library. Please be considerate of others in the library and clean up trash. Report any spills to the desk in your library.

Filming in the Libraries

Commercial filming requests are handled by Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Marketing and Communications. All other requests, please complete a at least 48 hours before the requested filming time.

Guest Computer Use

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries does not have public computers, but all visitors to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ campus may bring their own devices and connect to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Guest wifi. See our Guest Services page for more information about guest borrowing.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries protects the privacy and confidentiality of library patrons and their use of resources and services. See the University’s Privacy Statement for more information.

Acceptable Behavior

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries seeks to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone; therefore, library users and staff are expected to treat each other with respect. Unacceptable behavior is prohibited.

Tobacco

All tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vapes, are prohibited inside Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries buildings.
