Engaged Learning Week: Jan. 23 - 25

Engaged Learning Week, scheduled for Jan. 23-25, will promote learning outside the classroom.

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's Engaged Learning project takes learning to the ultimate level through student-driven, goal-oriented projects anywhere in the world.

A series of events and presentations will be held Jan. 23-25 to help students learn more about how they can become involved, from undergraduate research to community service. Here's the schedule:

Wednesday, Jan. 23
4 p.m.
Hughes-Trigg Forum
Speaker: Carl Dorvil, CEO of Group Excellence, started the company in 2004 out of his dorm room at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ. He began hiring bright, highly motivated college students and young professionals to tutor and mentor students in public schools. Now it is a 500-person operation.

Each student has 5-7 minutes to present and there will be periodic breaks. Before each break there will be time for questions.
