Is health care a moral issue?

If health care is a moral obligation, does that mean we must do whatever is necessary so that everybody has health care? Prof. William B. Lawrence, dean of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's Perkins School of Theology, tackles this issue.

In a recent interview with The Dallas Morning News, Professor William B. Lawrence, dean of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ's Perkins School of Theology was asked this question.  Here's what he had to say:

"Providing access to adequate health care is a moral obligation of every society. It is a moral obligation to provide health care, not on the basis of social or economic class, but on the basis of human dignity."
